Community Involvement
We have established deep roots in all our communities.
As an employee-owned company with a long and proud history, deep roots in many communities and the results of our work standing in hundreds of locations around North America, Graham understands how important it is to engage with the community.
We engage with the community on three basic levels:
- Hiring local suppliers and subcontractors to work with us in delivering projects.
- Communicating with local organizations and residents regarding large or longer-term projects where construction itself may affect the community.
- Direct engagement by Graham and its people in programs and initiatives that help build communities.
No matter what the project, Graham works closely with local communities to maintain open communication, minimize disruption and inconvenience, and understand and address local concerns through the project delivery phases.
Graham maximizes the involvement of local trade contractors, suppliers (including equipment and materials) and labour. We also collaborate with local organizations to provide opportunities for skills acquisition and upgrading, and we deliver project-specific training programs.
We actively support individual charitable projects, as portrayed in the examples on the accompanying pages. As well, we support the volunteer work and other community initiatives taken by Graham’s employees in their communities.
