President's Build - Our Leaders, Leading by Example
With their hammers in hand and PPE in place, 40 local business and community leaders got together in Edmonton to participate in President's Build, a program sponsored by Stantec's CEO, Bob Gomes, to support Habitat for Humanity. Among these leaders was our own President and CEO, Bill Flaig. "I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to get my hands dirty and build, and to do it for a great cause such as Habitat for Humanity is just the icing on the cake."
Habitat for Humanity gives people - who may otherwise never have the chance - the opportunity to own a home. Working in Habitat for Humanity's prefabrication shop, the leaders spent the day at work, hammering, nailing and measuring together. But what they were really doing was building the foundation of a new home - a new home that would build the foundation of a new life for a deserving family.
